Zhaomin Si

OD, MD, MSC

Dr. Si is passionate about providing quality care to her patients. She provides primary eye care to all ages while emphasizing myopia management and treatment of dry eye disease and glaucoma.

Specialties:

  • Myopia Management (Orthokeratology, Spectacles, Soft contact lenses and Eye drops)

  • Dry eye treatment

  • Glaucoma and other ocular disease

Languages: English, Mandarin

Dr. Si holds a Master of Science in Ophthalmology. She completed the Glaucoma Research Fellowship at the School of Medicine of LSU in New Orleans, USA in 2004 and obtained the Doctor of Optometry (IOBP) at the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry in 2007. Prior to opening her clinic in 2016, Dr. Si was the Director of Clinic Research and the Director of Glaucoma Clinic and Dry Eye Clinic at the Valley Laser Eye Centre in Abbotsford, BC for 12 years. She was the Vice Director of the Department of Ophthalmology and an associate professor at the Second Teaching Hospital, Shanxi Medical University. Dr Si. created an electronic method that obtains an estimated range of target eye pressure (intraocular pressure — IOP). It is aimed to help clinicians focus on the whole situation of the patient in glaucoma practice and educate the patient on the objective of therapy and risk factors.
